This paper compares the expected results of Papua New Guinea's Eco-Forestry Program with landowners' actual experiences, recognising a need for: evidence that Eco-Forestry is financially viable, an institutional framework within which Eco-Forestry can take place, and further capacity building to ensure that the benefits of Eco-Forestry reach the communities undertaking it.
