Energy Trends in Developing Asia: Priorities for a Low-Carbon Future
This report follows up on the 2007 report by examining the most recent data and trends related to primary energy supply, final energy demand, electricity generation and demand, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and clean energy investment, as well as associated policies and targets. It focuses primarily on Asia's six largest developing countries in terms of energy consumption-China, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam-but the regional analysis also includes an additional six countries that are members of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). The report is intended to serve as a resource for both the public and private sector, including policy-makers, business leaders, researchers, and advocates working in Asia to promote clean energy investments that address global climate change and development.
