This study identifies and evaluates low-cost options for reducing Mexico's GHG emissions in the short to medium term. In the full document (Chapter 6), Agriculture and Forestry, identifies REDD interventions into Mexico's forestry sector and also the possibility to establish carbon markets and assign economic value to Mexico's forests: for example, through a payment for ecosystem services scheme. This chapter's summary and table 6.1 estimates the emissions reduction potential of REDD interventions in Mexico.
