Synergies and trade-offs between REDD+ and food security: insights from the Trees for Global Benefits (TGB) project, South-Western Uganda
Trade-offs between REDD+ and food production and availability are not inevitable. This case study demonstrates that many households can incorporate trees into their farms without negatively affecting their food production. Carbon finance delivered through REDD+ could also help improve food security by increasing economic access to food.
