The workshop brought together representatives from countries in Asia‐Pacific to share learning and improve understanding on carbon rights and their implications for indigenous peoples and local communities. Presentations by local community representatives, experts and practitioners in the field of carbon markets provided the foundation for discussions. Participants critically assessed how the concepts of carbon rights are being addressed in real contexts and where particular threats and opportunities lie.
