International Forest Policy: Integrated climate and forestry policy options
This article provides an overview of carbon finance initiatives and proposals, and analyses these from the perspective of climate change mitigation, biodiversity and other environmental issues, and development. It furthermore offers recommendations on how to promote a pro-poor forest agenda for UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) negotiations, the spending of revenues from EU-based green house gas emission mitigation efforts, and other pertinent processes.
