Preparing Guyana's REDD+ participation: Developing capacities for Monitoring, Reporting and Verification
This report summarises the outcomes of a workshop on developing capacities for an MRV system in Guyana; the aim of this summary is to develop a tool kit for establishing such a system. A set of general requirements and principles are set out, and specific areas for immediate action are identified. The summary first looks at the overall policy background, and then on principles for MRV capacity development in Guyana; it furthermore identifies a capacity gap and assesses related key actions, and from there develops the MRV capacity roadmap.
