Sustainable Forest Management, Biodiversity and Livelihoods

This guide provides several case studies in which forest management became more biodiversity-friendly and socially beneficial by addressing the links between forestry, biodiversity and poverty reduction. The guide intends to introduce decision-makers to techniques and procedures that enhance the social and environmental contributions of forestry management and to provide suggestions for both improving national and sub-national forest policies and developing forest-related strategies that address biodiversity conservation and poverty reduction.
